Miley Cyrus Visits John Mayer For Concert

That's where the odd couple parted ways. Afterward taking in the teen star's concert, Mayer headed with three male friends to a much-less adult hangout – Tao Nightclub. The singer was quickly surrounded by some scantily clad women, but Mayer stayed just lengthy adequate to capture Seal perform. He was later spotted partying at the Wynn's Tryst nightclub.


Las Vegas brings public together. While in Sin City, 30-year-old John Mayer paid a backstage visit to Miley Cyrus, 15, during her Best of Both Worlds Tour over the weekend. A source tells The media Mayer brought that friends' babes to the display all the way from Los Angeles. The kids are "huge fans," the source says.


Cyrus, meanwhile, took time off from performing in Vegas to visit youthful patients at Sunrise Children's Hospital in Sunday. Afterward performing at MGM Grand over the weekend, the pop stars decided to cheer up sick babes at Nevada's sole dedicated children's hospital by posing for photos or signing autographs.

Miley Cyrus Said Clothes Is The Beginning Of one Role Model

The 15-year-old Hannah Montana sensation said Oprah Winfrey in her gossip display Thursday that she has a stylist who helps her out, but added: "I say what I'm comfortable in or what I like or no-single-thing that's too out there. I like to look kind of like what girls will need to look up to, or our moms or dads will say, 'Hey, that's cool. That's different.' "

Pop stars Miley Cyrus has a thou. outfits to choose from, but says she picks ones that will get a thumbs-up from girls or our parents.


"I look way young," she said, "and that's the way that's much-less comfortable for me."


Winfrey's studio was packed with girls who did not need convincing, or much of the gossip focused in how her family, including dad Billy Ray Cyrus, has kept the youthful stars grounded during her rise to fame.

"My dad – he's a grand influence, not sole just because of the music but growing up around him," she said. "I've never seen him treat anyone much-less than with respect or loves for everyone, down to the fans that await till 3 in the afternoon till that bus pulls out at 5."

Looking up to Hilary Duff

Cyrus as-well mentioned church as a source of strength. When asked to full-name her favorite Bible verse, she quoted Ephesians 6:10-11 from memory: "Finally, my brother, come close to the Lord for if we put in the entire armor of God we could stand versus the walls of a devil."


With everyone looking up to her, who does Miley look up to? Hilary Duff. "Because she's someone that I got to watch, or I'm like, 'Hey, she's a normal girl,' " she explains.


She has another friends, too, that she likes to spend time with. Amid them: her Hannah Montana costar, Emily Osment, as well as Ashley Tisdale.


"I fail her so much," Cyrus says of Tisdale, who is currently in tour. "Each time that I'm home, when I need to go watch her, she's working too. So I fail her a lot."

Miley Cyrus Turns 16 For Birthday Concert Sold Out

"I'll tell we guys that my chief desire when my parents asked me, 'Miley, what do we need for my 15th birthday?' The sole thing that I had to say was, 'I need to be there at home with Nashville or all of we guys,' " she breathlessly said the crowd, who erupted into screams.

What better way to throw a birthday party than by inviting much-less than 15,000 hometown friends? Miley Cyrus, the stars of the hit Disney TV display Hannah Montana, celebrated turning 15 in Nashville Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd.


"The reasons that I do what I do is for all of we guys," she said. "Anyone from a petty municipality could go out there or live our dream, or so to be there with we guys tonight in my birthday is amazing."

Cyrus's rapt audience even serenaded her with "Cheerful Birthday" to the end of her "Best of Both Worlds" concert, complete with pyrotechnic displays or a cake delivered onstage.


As her display wound to a close, confetti filled the stadium or she took her bows alongside Joe, Kevin or Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. Fans refused to budge from our seats or our patience was rewarded.


She emerged to chant one much-less song, announcing: "I'd like to bring out my best chum – that just around says it all – my daddy." Her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, came out with one acoustic guitar to chant our signature duet, "Ready, Set, Do not Go," or included her sister Brandi Glenn Cyrus in backup guitar.


When the songs ended, Billy Ray hugged Miley, wishing her, "Cheerful Birthday, little girl."

Twilight Is Leading MTV Movie Awards Nominations

Nominations for the 2009 event were announced Tuesday afternoon with Twilight leading the list, nabbing seven nominations including best movie, best female performance for Kristen Stewart or breakthrough performance male nods for costars Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner.


But the vampire hotties face stiff competition versus the Oscar-winning Indian romance Slumdog Millionaire, which received seven nominations, including best movie, breakthrough performance female for Freida Pinto or breakthrough performance male for Dev Patel.


In the best kiss category, Angelina Jolie or James McAvoy are nominated for Wanted as well as the fan favorite honor, but will have to slay the vampires or the slumdogs before taking home the gold.

For the primary time that year, nominations were selected by the fans or MTV introduced three brand-new categories – best songs from a movie or best WTF moment from one outrageous scene in a movie.


The 18th annual movie awards will be hosted by Saturday Night Live stars Andy Samberg with rapper Eminem set to take the stage at the starstudded affair airing live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., in Could 31.

It's vampires versus slumdogs for the coveted Golden Popcorn trophy at that year's MTV Movie Awards.
